Brenda McBride               

 
                                                                

 

 

 

Brenda comes to us from Regina, Saskatchewan and is a Product Manager for HumanWare.  Brenda brings a wealth of personal and professional experience involving the world of learning disabilities. She shares her experiences with individuals she meets at conferences, presentations, webinars and workshops. She will also share how, as an adult, she uses technology to accommodate her own learning difficulties.

Dianna Joachim Colmen

 
 

 

 

 


                                                

                                          

Dianna has worked as an educator in public school for over 30 years, providing services to support students in regular education classrooms.   This experience has provided her with varied perspectives on instructional, technological, and interpersonal factors that impact student success.  She is now working as an independent educational consultant, teaching people to use a variety of technology tools to assist the learning process. It is Dianna’s passionate belief that by effectively addressing the impact of personal and/or systemic barriers, it is the mission of education is to guarantee and protect each child’s right to access learning.

 

                       Lialiana Acosta

Liliana was the former Director of Program and Services for Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic.  Prior to that she worked as a Special Education teacher in Miami Dade County Public Schools (the 4th largest school district in the US). Liliana is now the National Learning Disabilities Sales Manager for HumanWare.

We are now able to offer Certificates for hours of participation on certain months of this year’s speaking schedule. These certificates may be requested at the time of participation. This announcement will be attached to each month when this is available.

Meetings for Parent To Parent takes place at the Holland Free Methodist Church at 6605 Angola Rd., Holland.  Call 419-865-4640 from 9:00a.m.1:00 m-f  for further information.

 

Parent to Parent of N.W.O. is an informational support group organized to help equip educators and parents of children with dyslexia and other related learning difficulties. This program provides a monthly platform throughout the school year for professional speakers to come and address different aspects that challenge a child in the classroom. These programs are presented free of charge (unless otherwise specified); this to get affordable, timely help to the parents, and educators of these children when they need it most.

 

Parent To Parent meets the second Saturday of each month from September through

May, (with the exception being in March when we meet on the first Saturday of the Month).   We break due to holiday and weather in December and January.
