Children

Children

Children’s ministry is a top priority at the Holland Free Methodist Church. Volunteer workers are carefully screened and classes are well supervised to assure a safe and nurturing environment. A greeter or an usher can help you find the nursery, preschool, Sunday school classes and jr. church room.

Sunday Morning

Nursery

A caring nursery for infants is offered during Sunday School and the morning worship service.

Preschool

A preschool class begins at 9:30 a.m. and runs through the end of the morning worship service. Children enjoy bible lessons, crafts, games and other fun activities.

Sunday School

Sunday School classes are offered for grades K-5 at 9:30 a.m. These classes teach bible lessons and include fun activities.

Jr. Church

On most Sundays there is a jr. church offered for grades K-5 during the second half of the morning worship service. Children remain with their parents during the music portion of the service.

Wednesday Nights

The Christian Life Club meets on Wednesday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This is a program for preschool through sixth grade. This program follows the Springfield Local Schools academic calendar and goes from September through early May.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer a week long vacation bible school is held at the church. This takes places in the evenings as children gather for bible lessons, games, crafts, and other fun activities.

Kids Camp

Each summer children attend camps at Somerset Beach Campground in Somerset Beach Michigan. Camp lasts from three to five days, depending on the grade level, and includes all kinds of outdoor activities and opportunities for growing in faith. Camp scholarships are made available to children who participate in Sunday school or Christian Life Club.
